What a Scare!

Friday, May 28th

I couldn't sleep last night for some reason so I was still up at about 11pm when I heard someone opening my gate. I saw headlights of a truck coming down my drive and the driver started honking his horn. Scared me. As I was dialing 911 I wondered if this was a drunk person or a homocidal meniac. The truck left and I saw blue police lights in the street and decided the police were hunting down this crazy person who was at my house. Just then the operator said there was an officer in the area because there were horses running in the street. As the blue lights came down my drive I realized to my horror that it was my horses that were loose and a neighbor had come by to let me know. Great! I have 7 horses on the loose in the middle of the night. I asked God to please bring them all back safely. By the time I got to the street with grain and halters in hand they had all gathered on the lawn across the street. I haltered 2 and led them across the street as the sherriff and neighbor blocked the road and when the rest realized I had grain they couldn't get home fast enough. WHEW! It all turned out well
